Problems with Dell Tech Support – Part 2

You can read Problems with Dell Tech Support – Part 1 here.

So, my replacement Axim came, and I immediately noticed that the case had a couple of scratches. No big deal, I thought. I can handle that. But there are 2 small scratches on the screen, and I won’t accept that. I haven’t even used the thing yet. So now my second replacement is bad and needs to be replaced. I emailed the escalation specialist directly, so we’ll see how fast I get a response.

For those just tuning in:

  • my original Axim had the screen go bad
  • I received a replacement and the audio jack didn’t work on it.
  • Now my third one has scratches on the screen before I’ve even used it.

Unbelievable!

  • wow. calm down. you were sent a new piece.

  • What support? I have been arguing with Dell for 2 years about the DVD drive. They sold me an external hard drive and told me I needed extra memory. The one guy couln’t fix it and it froze up and said can I call you back and never did. One person set up a bogus house call to get rid of me. I might be stuck with this now but will be looking for another brand next time. I’m tired of arguing with people and them not caring. I stopped counting the case numbers and never get anyone who knows much more than me. They said I had a virus and it would cost 129 dollars. I said prove it. It didn’t so they put Roxio on it and it had an error and I pointed that out. He said, “Oh don’t worry about that. They admit to having a minimal Firewall and problems issues. I have big issues too!

It didn’t have any so they said you can’t download from the C drive so they put Roxio on it and it had an error and I pointed that out. He said, “Oh don’t worry about that. They admit to having a minimal Firewall and problems issues. I have big issues too! I fumed and got a higher tech who once again warned me I would be charged a minimal fee of 70 to 80 dollars for software help. The only software on it was there as they made me restore it to original setting and it still didn’t work. I had bought extra warranty and their usual answer to the problem is not to use that drive and that it is software. What a bunch of crap
