As a computer power user, I like to make my computer experience as fast as I can. One of the ways that I do that is to maximize my use of program shortcuts. Today I provide a list of common shortcuts for Adobe Photoshop Elements 5<\/a>, many of which can be used in other versions of Photoshop <\/a>programs.<\/p>\n

Tools (Pressing the shortcut key multiple times rotates between tool variations):<\/p>\n

V – Move
\nZ – Zoom
\nM – Marquee
\nL – Lasso
\nT – Type
\nC – Crop
\nJ – Spot Healing Brush
\nB – Brush
\nK – Paint Bucket
\nO – Sponge Tool<\/p>\n

Palette and other shortcuts:<\/p>\n

D – Default foreground and background colours
\nX – Switch foreground with background colour
\n[ – Smaller brush size
\n] – Larger brush size
\nShift [ – softer brush
\nShift } – harder brush
\nF11 – Show\/Hide Layers palette (F7 in Photoshop)
\nCTRL + – Zoom in
\nCTRL – – Zoom out
\nCTRL D – Deselect
\nCTRL Shift I – Invert selection<\/p>\n

These are the shortcuts I use most of the time in my workflow. You may find other shortcuts (there are many) that you find useful.<\/p>\n
