{"id":1381,"date":"2007-09-05T17:56:55","date_gmt":"2007-09-05T21:56:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pcin.net\/update\/index.php\/2007\/09\/05\/practice-makes-perfect-digital-photography-tip-of-the-week-2\/"},"modified":"2007-09-05T17:56:55","modified_gmt":"2007-09-05T21:56:55","slug":"practice-makes-perfect-digital-photography-tip-of-the-week-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/pcin.net\/update\/2007\/09\/05\/practice-makes-perfect-digital-photography-tip-of-the-week-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Practice Makes Perfect &#8211; Digital Photography Tip of the Week"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry\">\n<p>Study and Practice<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s tip could be applied to just about anything you wish to excel at.\u00c2\u00a0 It is something I have mentioned in the past and is well clich\u00c3\u00a9d: Practice makes perfect.\u00c2\u00a0 If you aren&#8217;t out practicing photography, you aren&#8217;t out improving your photography.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, you could take tens of thousands of photographs but if you aren&#8217;t aware of potential problems with your images and cannot see them for yourself, there will be no improvement.\u00c2\u00a0 To conquer this, you have to study.\u00c2\u00a0 Study other people&#8217;s photographs, look at the photos of the masters, and pay attention to images in magazines.\u00c2\u00a0 Examine them and learn from them. With a little understanding of the principles of photography, many of which I have already discussed in the past, you can then begin to evaluate your own images.<\/p>\n<p>To take it a step further, shoot with friends, and critique each others images.\u00c2\u00a0 You can then start to get an unbiased opinion without your own emotional attachment to your photos as well as being able to drawn upon the knowledge of other people.<\/p>\n<p>Practice and study often don&#8217;t amount to a lot of fun. Fortunately for us, photography is different.
