When my 2007 Norton Internet Security expired I purchased 2008. Disk arrived, tried to follow directions & uninstall. Computer failed. Start, Restart, talk to India - no help. My fault, I removed too much, etc. Will NEVER buy Norton again. I had forgotten that last year I had to get uninstall tool to be able to install the 2007 version. Boy, have I learned a lesson.

I bought Internet Security 2008 for 3 computers. When I tried to remove System Works 2006 prior to install Internet Security I was unable to remove it by using the add/remove on XP. I had to download Norton’s Removal Tool and use it. Now, I cannot get my computer to boot up successfully. A message says that it cannot find Autochk and that it will ignore it. The computer is in a never ending cycle of trying to re-boot. I did a chat with the Norton tech’s. They were of no help, period. This is the last Norton product that I will buy. DON’T BUY NORTON, IT WILL DESTROY YOUR COMPUTER AND THEY CAN’T OR WON’T HELP.
