There are many great features built into Windows Explorer, but
one that Microsoft has never included is a way to print out what
is in a directory. There are lots of different ways that this
can be done, but none of them give you the right combination of
ease of use and attractive interface. Well, Glenn Alcott has done
something about that. Glenn has written a program called Directory
Printer that easily lets you either save a listing of the program
or print it out.

As shown by the screen shot above, you can choose what directory
you want to print out, whether or not to include subdirectories,
how to sort it, fonts, and more. The Columns feature is especially
nice which allows you to fit more directories entries into the
same space.
You may wonder why you would want to print out a listing of what
is in a directory. If you are trying to sort through files, edit
them, or do any number of other things, it will be useful to have
a copy in front of you of the files you are working on. You can
write on the page, cross things out, and even proof read file
names. It can be very useful.
Directory Print is a simple yet effective program to use. For
$19 you will probably find that it pays for itself very quickly.
